Please be aware that, when the changes come into effect:
- Our humm Buy Now Pay Later product will be re-named humm Classic
- Customers will no longer be able to make new purchases using their humm Classic account

Is humm closing down?
No. Our current Buy Now Pay Later product is retiring and a new humm product is launching on June 10 so there is no impact to your business.

How do I process a humm application for my customers AFTER 10 June 2025?
After 10 June 2025, all new merchant portal applications will need to be processed via the new merchant portal https://hummbnpl.my.site.com/retailer/s/login/.
We will also provide detailed training guides and how to videos that will be made available to your teams to make this transition as smooth as possible
For integrated applications, such as e-commerce or POS integrations, there is no change. Everything will switch automatically to the new platform.

What are the BNPL regulations?
The Australian Government passed legislation to regulate Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) products under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth) (Credit Act).
The Treasury Laws Amendment (Responsible Buy Now Pay Later and Other Measures) Bill 2024 (Bill) is intended to strike the right balance between responsible lending and access to flexible payment options for consumers. The new regulations are effective on the 10th of June 2025.

How will this impact me?
Up until 9th of June 2025, there will be no changes.
From 10th of June, we will be updating our process and systems to adhere to the regulatory change.
Broadly, the changes will be across the systems and the sale application process.
There will be no changes to your current commercial terms.

What are the key changes as part of the BNPL regulations?
Under new regulation, key changes are:
- Credit licencing: All BNPL providers are required to have a credit licence. humm group has multiple credit licences for different products. Post 10th of June, humm will be provided by Once Credit Pty Limited ABN 99 112 319 632, Australian Credit Licence No. 386194 and will be subject to the Terms & Conditions. Once Credit Pty Limited is a member of humm group.
- Modified Responsible Lending Obligations (mRLOs): ALL BNPL providers will need to enquire about income, expenses and living arrangements. In some instances, additional information may be required to verify their financial position.

Do I need a new agreement with humm?
Yes, your new agreement will be sent to you via email.
There is no requirement for you to execute and return the new agreement.
If you continue to use humm on the new platform, you will be considered to have accepted your new agreement.

What do I need to do as a merchant?
From 10 June 2025, all existing Point of Sale material must be replaced with new humm Point of Sale material which will be delivered prior.

What do I need to do to prepare for the change?
You must share the Product Information Guide with your team members.

This provides key information about the new regulated humm product.
Your team members will be required to complete the new humm compliance training by their next annual compliance training refresher date, but they are most welcome to complete this earlier. -
Will I, the merchant, be charged a monthly fee to use humm?
No. you will not be charged monthly fee to use Humm Classic. Your other pricing remains the same.

Are my current rates changing?
No. Your current pricing remains the same except for your monthly usage fee which you will no longer be charged.

Is 0% interest still available post June 10th?
Yes, 0% interest for customers will still be available post 10 June.
